All the girls have thought about since school started again was the school play. Both Evie and Bella tried out yesterday. Today the callback lists went up and Bella got a callback but Evie did not. I was standing there looking over the paper with them and it broke my heart to see the devastation in Evie's eyes. She looked over the list twice and started to cry when she didn't see her name on it. I did the only thing I could and offered her to take her home for a fun day with me. She quietly shook her head no and hugged me. She turned around and went to the teacher who is directing the play and told her that she wanted to work back stage. Then everything was fine again and she ran off to class - typical Evie.

I was on the computer when she brought me a book and instructed me to pose for her while she took pictures with my iPad. Then she took the book and told me to take pictures of her while she read her book like a lady. You see Ladies always cross their legs when they read books - even if they are pretending.

What a sweet girl! It broke my heart when I read she didn't get the part, but what a great attitude she had. Love her lady-like pose too- so cute!!
