Christmas Break has begun

Thursday was the last day of school for the girls and we are officially on Christmas break. Poor Evie was sick with a virus (fever, cough, and sore throat) and missed the entire week of school. Bella was sick as well but was able to go back to school on Wednesday.

Thursday evening we attended A Little Elfin Magic - the play that Bella has been working hard on. She was an understudy and took her role very seriously. She memorized all her lines and cues in case she had to go on. She didn't get to be in the play but participated in a fun intro as well as helped the actors with their cues. Evie was so eager to see her friends that she went and sat with them during the entire play. It was alright cause Mo came and sat with Brandon and I.

Friday we bummed around the house watching movies and making crafts. The girls used some boxes to make a house for Pixie and Stella. Pixie loves it and Stella hates it! The girls have been working on it and adding to it all weekend. I am not sure if it will ever be done!

Today Brandon and I volunteered to take pictures at a Gold Star ceremony. For those who aren't military it is a ceremony where the family of a deceased solider are presented with a flag and dog tags. It was very emotional and sad but I am glad that we could do something for the family.

I traded kids with Heidi tonight so she could take the older ones to The Forgotten Carols. I have the little ones here watching movies and eating popcorn. I think Mo might have been the most excited to come over as she had her suitcase all packed when we come back to Heidi's house! Evie was thrilled to hear that Luke was coming over as he is her "best friend". They are having a great time and I love having them over.

It is almost Christmas time and we are almost ready for it! All the gifts are taken care and I thought I finished grocery shopping only to realize I forgot eggs when I got home. I will brave the store again on Monday and hope it isn't too terrible. We are sadly staying here in Vegas for the holidays due to Brandon's work schedule. I wish we could be in Utah with family and snow but I am beyond grateful to have our little family all together for the holiday!
