Enjoying Life

I keep telling myself I will blog more once life slows down and things get less hectic. I have begun to realize that might never happen! We have been going constantly since Thanksgiving break and it doesn't look like things will get any easier until Christmas.

Thanksgiving was wonderful! My inlaws came out to stay with us which we all enjoyed. It has been hard to be so far away from them since we moved. We decided to try eating at a casino buffet for Thanksgiving this year. I wasn't sold on the idea but Brandon insisted. We spent three hours in line waiting. THREE HOURS!! I was pretty hungry and grumpy by the time we were seated and so were the girls. The food was good but honestly nothing is worth a three out wait. It was an experience for sure and one that I am not planning to repeat again ever.

We all struggled to get back on schedule and get the girls back to school after the break. We were 2 hours late! Mornings are rough here as I am not a morning person and the girls move at the speed of turtles. I have been trying to get them up earlier but that just seems to give them more time to lay around. I hate being a mean Mom and yelling all morning so I have decided that at 7:30 we are walking out the door regardless of what they are wearing and what they have together for school. The change in my perspective has mad the mornings more pleasant though we still can't seem to make it to school on time.

The girls both love their school and their teachers. They are learning and growing and are excited to go every morning which I love. Evie has so much fun at school though the long hours are hard on her. She is starving when I pick her up after school so I learned quickly to bring her snacks to eat on the way home. Bella is learning so much! She is currently in 6th grade math and is reading at a high school level.

We all love being here in Las Vegas. Brandon is doing well at work and really enjoys his job. I am working hard to get my photography business off the ground which is going well so far. We love being close to Heidi and her family as well as our other friends here. Life is busy but good!
